It was revealed that world champion Canelo Alvarez's training camp consisted of the following routine:
- 6 AM morning roadwork everyday except Sundays
- Heavy bag work, mittwork, skipping rope, and conditioning from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays
- Sparring sessions at 2:30 PM every Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays
